FAST FACTS:

• One of Greece’s most prolific players, bound for his third Olympics and having won a 2020 silver medal

• Wanted to play collegiate water polo in the United State and, after researching the best programs, famously sought out then-head coach Jovan Vavic to express his desire to come to USC

• Scored four goals, including the sudden-death game-winner, in the 2014 NCAA Semifinals to help USC reach a 10th straight NCAA final

• Genidounias was one of two eventual Olympians on USC’s 2011 NCAA Championship team, as Trojan teammate Joel Dennerley (AUS) also competed in the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games (Dennerley also was a 2012 Olympian)
