• Day, who is not a member of the USC swim team, recently graduated from USC with a degree in Human Biology

FAST FACTS:
• Will compete in the 50m free Freestyle
• Day grew up swimming in the ocean, as Tonga didn’t have a proper swimming pool for training
• At the 2023 Fukuoka World Championships, Day finished 69th in the 50m Freestyle and 58th in the 50m Backstroke
• As a 14-year-old, she became the youngest swimmer to swim Samoa’s Apolima Strait between Upolu and Savai’i (about 8 miles) in just over 8 hours, finishing second among females
• In 2019, she came in sixth in the 5K Open Water Swim at the Pan Pacific Games, where she also made the 50m Breaststroke final
• At the 2020 Tokyo Games
Finished 63rd in the 50m free
• Became USC’s first Olympic swimmer from Tonga in 2020
